Syncron · Product & engineering

From zero to a cloud product

Built the product, the team and the practices that made delivery repeatable.

1 → 12

Engineers. One product. V1 in 12 months.

The situation

Syncron needed its first cloud-native integration product. There was no team, no platform and no established playbook. Customer-specific integrations made onboarding slow and difficult to repeat.

The decision

I owned architecture, roadmap, requirements and release management, and built the engineering team from one to twelve. Discovery with five enterprise customers informed the product. We prioritised platform stability and turned requests such as schedules and transformations into configurable capabilities.

The impact

We shipped V1 within 12 months on a monthly release cadence. A serverless architecture reduced onboarding from days to minutes, while reusable capabilities replaced customer-specific work.

What it unlocked

The product created a repeatable integration foundation. The architecture, delivery practices and engineering standards also influenced Syncron’s wider platform roadmap.
